Lavaille Lavette is a New York Times Best-Selling
Editor/Author/ Publisher, Educator, Producer, and
Social Entrepreneur.
Lavaille is often described as a story hunter and
storyteller. With a Master’s in Education, Lavaille’s
diverse professional journey has seen her as an
investment broker, producer, speechwriter,
marketing executive, school-district administrator
and she also served as special advisor to former U.S.
Secretary of Education Dr. Rod Paige.
Lavaille recently returned to writing in the children’s
book space with Little Golden Books: “Jayylen’s
Juneteenth Surprise” and “Jayylen’s Christmas Wish.”
She is the author of the best-selling book series,
“The Adventures of Roopster Roux Sports Series.”
Lavaille pioneered the first-ever convenience store/
gas station with a literacy purpose, based on her
Roopster Roux Book Series, @ Therouxstore.com
and Roopsterroux.com. The Roopster Roux Series
has received numerous accommodations from cities
around the U.S.
Lavaille was a Founding Board Member and the
first President of the Luanda Africa Sister City
Association. She actively participates in several
international charitable initiatives in Africa.
